An Old Trick "The Item Pass"

An Old Trick "The Item Pass"

This is a great way to grab people from a party to open your dance floor or or participate in an activity. one of the best ways to approach this is when you are asked to give away the centerpieces at the tables to the guests. If not you can simply do this and not give them anything at all, and just utilize them anywhere activity.

It's called an item passed. You have probably seen it before or have done it with a salt shaker dollar bill or another item at the table That the people pass around. it is quite simple to do have one person at each table find something to pass around the table preferably a napkin because they can hold it above their head and wave it just like at a professional sporting event and it is easy for you to see who has it. Play a popular song, or instrumental and tell them to pass the item around the table either clockwise or counterclockwise and when the Music Stops there will be a surprise.

Once the Music Stops you have many options to tell the person. One of them is the simply Crown them as the table captain and tell them that they have won the centerpiece if it is being given away. But that is too easy, you can throw in a joke or two. For example, tell the person who get the item on the first pass that they owe the person to their left a dollar bill, or a high-five, or a hug, depending upon the people at the party. when you do it a second time you can change the joke. for example tell them they owe the person to their left a $5 bill, a high five, or a hug. Now on the final pass you can then give away the prize or centerpieces. another funny thing to say before you give away the prize is that that person is responsible for cleaning up the mess that everyone leaves at their table. But make sure add the phrase “only kidding” or something to that sort. You should get a big laugh especially from the staff.

Now that you have your winners you can utilize them by asking them to grab their significant other and take them to the dance floor to open up with your first slow song. You can also use them for a multiplication dance with will be discussed in future blog posts. or my favorite is a singing wedding gram that we will post tomorrow. So stay tuned!!!
